Welcome to the Anne Bradstreet ECC
Welcome!
Welcome to the Anne Bradstreet Early Childhood Center (ABECC), the home of the bulldogs! On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, we want to let you know how excited we are to begin our work with you and your student for the 2023-2024 school year.
Our supply list is located under the Student Life Tab.
We are confident that our ABECC students will experience an excellent and engaging education, as well as make substantial social emotional and academic growth. We aim to be in effective partnership with families as we both work to make each day a positive experience for our youngest learners.

ABECC News
It is that time of year again! We are so excited to welcome your child(ren) back to school next week. As you prepare for the beginning of school, I want to take a moment to communicate some important information about the upcoming school year.
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE) is publicly releasing the Spring 2023 MCAS accountability results later today to school districts throughout the state. Overall, as a district, North Andover is making substantial progress toward MCAS targets and has no schools designated as requiring DESE assistance or intervention.
We will be reviewing the data over the next several weeks at the district and school levels. That information will be used to adjust and inform the instruction our students receive as we continue to address their learning needs. We will also be presenting an overview of our North Andover MCAS results to the School Committee in late October.
We expect the parent reports to arrive in the district by the end of the month. North Andover has tentatively planned for Parent Reports to be disseminated in early October
Superintendent’s Update
Dear NAPS Community:
I hope this message finds you and your family safe and doing well, in light of the circumstances. I wanted to share the following important information:
-
Currently, National Grid reports that North Andover has 3,711 households out of 12,874 still without power.
-
National Grid’s estimated restoration time for North Andover is currently midnight.
-
Dr. Mealey, Mr. Mullen, NAPS custodians and Town inspectors have been busy assessing all of our schools. Not surprisingly, we experienced a few storm related issues. Those issues have been addressed, resolved, and will not impact our ability to open schools.
-
As of noon today, 5 out of 8 schools do not have power.
-
Restoration times can fluctuate and I expect to have more information after I meet again with public safety, emergency management and Town/School officials later today.
I will be in touch with an update on the status of school for tomorrow sometime in the early evening. Please take care. Stay safe and stay tuned.
Dr. Gilligan, Superintendent
Dear NAPS Community:
I hope you and your family have remained safe after yesterday’s wild storm. I am so grateful that we had an early release yesterday and avoided dismissing students during such a powerful and destructive storm. I know that many of you have no power and have been dealing with downed trees and property damage. I wanted to share some important information that may be helpful to you and your family.
ABECC Weekly Update to Families
Heat Advisory
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a heat advisory through Thursday evening into Friday, September 8th. We want to remind you to send your child with a water bottle and dressed in lightweight clothing. We will have ample water on hand in case students forget water or need additional water. We will be encouraging students to hydrate throughout the day and will be limiting activities to indoors when possible. As always, parents may exercise their right to keep a child home from school if they feel attendance will have a negative impact on their child’s health and/or well being. Please reach out to your building Principal if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for working together to educate our students.
Dr. Gregg T Gilligan
